Introduction

As a service to corporate strategic planners and other corporate managers, investment professionals, journalists, business and policy students, and others, IEHN has compiled corporate policies and case studies, commentaries on government policies, and insightful assessments by consultants, business writers, and investment analysts. IEHN also offers links to additional resources on other sites.

Examples of corporate policies and case studies are provided here to help companies that are transitioning to safer chemicals to avoid reinventing the wheel.   The case studies also illustrate the commitments and progress that many companies have made.

Safer chemicals policies globally have been driven largely by policy initiatives in the European Union that inspire legislative action by California and other states. The US federal government seriously lags these other jurisdictions in advancing safer chemicals policies. IEHN’s newsletters and other publications describe discuss these initiatives, as do these additional materials here.
